Cotton Price OutlookCotton prices fell over the past month as the coronavirus outbreak hit the USDA’s 2019–2020 demand projections, outweighing relatively strong U.S. export data in January and the signing of the “phase one” trade deal. On 14 February, cotton traded at USD 67.4 cents per pound, which was 5.6% lower than on the same day last month. Moreover, the price was down 2.4% on a year-to-date basis and was 3.9% lower than on the same day last year.
